As many of us know, the 1940 US Federal Census will be released to the general public on April 2. The initial release will NOT include a searchable name index so the only way to find people is to know where they lived. For larger cities, this usually means knowing the exact address. Of course this will only help us find people who could afford a telephone but might still come in handy until the name indices are created. I think I have great-grant uncle who had a telephone :-)
