Federal Census Records (US) 1790-1840

The US federal census results for these early years are barely more than lists. Only the head of the household is listed by his/her full name. All other members of the household are categorized by sex and age, i.e. 4 males between the ages of 10 and 20. A complete street address isn't even included. US residents are classified as free white, free colored, and slaves.
