If you recognize anyone, please let me know. These photos were taken in Lozdzieje, Lithuania in the late 1920s. My grandmother is Peshe BERGZON, daughter of Jeruchim BERGZON and Dobruszia JABLON. Her brother David is in some of the photos.

#8 - Peshe BERGZON (Bessie BERGER), born Lazdijia 1910, came to US with parents in 1929. Married Solomon SCHNEIDER in 1935 Brooklyn. Died 1985.

#3 - David BERGZON - born Lazdijai ca 1908. Came to US in 1929 but only stayed 2-3 years. Made aliya to Israel in 1932. Lived on kibbutz Ein Hashofet. Died 1974.

#16 - Yeshayahu/Ishayahu AKS. Malamed(teacher), 1875-1941. Murdered in Lazdijai 1941 by Einsatzgruppen (Nazi killing squads).

#17 - Avraam GOLUB/TORY. Graduated Kovno University as a lawyer. Secretary on Kovno Ghetto council. Emigrated to Israel after the war. Died in Israel 2002-2003.
